Cut about 1-2 cm of the stem diagonally with a sharp knife and place the tufted candles directly into a clean vase of water. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place steppe candles next to a fruit bowl, in a draft or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly to make sure the flowers have enough water and refill if necessary. After 1-2 days, cut the stems diagonally again and change the water.
