Cut about 1-2 cm off the stem at an angle with a sharp knife and remove any leaves so that they do not sit in the water, then place the spray chrysanthemums in a clean vase with cool water. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place the spray chrysanthemums next to a fruit bowl, in a draught or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly that the spray chrysanthemums have enough water and top up the water if necessary. After a few days, trim the stems again at an angle.
