Cut about 1-2 cm of the stem diagonally with a sharp knife and place the ranunculus in a clean vase with about 5-10 cm of water. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place ranunculus next to a fruit bowl, in a draft, or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly to make sure the ranunculus has enough water and refill if necessary—but not too much. After a few days, cut the stems diagonally again.
