Cut about 1-2 cm straight across the stems with a sharp knife and place the daffodils in a clean vase filled with water. Add the flower food to the water.
Daffodils exude a slimy substance to which other cut flowers may be sensitive. Therefore, let the flowers stand alone in a vase for about three hours. Then, change the water, do not cut the flowers again, and only then arrange the daffodils with other flowers.
Do not place daffodils next to a fruit bowl, in a draft, or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly to make sure the daffodils have enough water and refill if necessary. Trim the stems again after a few days.
