Cut about 1-2 cm of the stem diagonally with a sharp knife. Remove any leaves so they don't extend into the water and place the lisianthus in a clean vase filled with cool water. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place flowers next to a fruit bowl, in a draft, or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly to make sure the lisianthus has enough water and refill if necessary. After a few days, cut the stems diagonally again.
