Cut about 1-2 cm of the stem diagonally with a sharp knife and split the stem ends to promote water absorption. Place the hydrangeas in a clean vase filled with cool water. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place hydrangeas next to a fruit bowl, in a draft, or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly whether the hydrangeas have enough water, refill if necessary, and occasionally moisten the flowers slightly. After a few days, cut the stems diagonally again.
