Cut about 1-2 cm off the stem at an angle with a sharp knife and place the freesias in a clean vase with cool water. Add flower food to the water.
Do not place freesias next to a fruit bowl, in a draft, or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly that the freesias have enough water, and top up the water if necessary. After a few days, recut the stems at an angle.
