Cut about 1-2 cm off the stem at an angle with a sharp knife and place the Allium directly into a clean vase with approx. 5 cm of water, so that the onion scent cannot develop. Add the flower food to the water.
Do not place Allium next to a fruit bowl, in a draught or in bright sunlight.
Check regularly that the flowers have enough water, and top up the water if necessary. After 1-2 days, trim the stems again at an angle and change the water, so that the water does not take on an onion-like smell.
Allium are distinguished by their long-lasting freshness. They can be dried.
